The
Great California Story by Carl Palm is a richly detailed portrait of the
state of California; a place that is as interesting as its reputation, a place
where so many firsts in American life have occurred, and a place that is
different because of the pre-occupation its citizens have long had with
“looking good,” “having fun,” and pursuing the good life with a capital
“G.” It's a fun, interesting, and enlightening book, and I highly recommend
it.
