We use several style guides such as the Associated Press Stylebook,
Chicago Manual of Style, Oxford Manual of Style, AMA, Webster's Style Guide, Strunk & White, and various
college textbooks of style.
We also use Roget's
Thesaurus, Webster's Dictionary, and various online services such as
Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com.
In addition, we use custom
style guides provided by your company or organization because we know that many
companies have their own style preferences such as whether to use the serial
comma or not and how to handle gender references.
For research, we use
the Internet (of course) but not as our first or primary source. We have an
extensive library of reference books and journals including Encarta, the
Encyclopedia Britannica, Gray's Anatomy, Standard & Poor's World's Major
Markets, Fortune Magazine, Fortune 500, Forbes, Psychology Today, and various
medical, botany, zoology, marine, engineering, law, marketing, astronomy,
computers, history, music, art, economics, health, and new age books.
We look up and verify
everything, so you don't have to worry about whether a company, CEO, or product
has been misspelled or misused. And, if there are conflicting data, we call the
target entity and get verbal verification.
We can edit paper or
electronic copies (using Microsoft Word's Track feature) and we can provide
typesetter/printer coding on any project. We can also provide an index, table of
contents, glossary, or other special features such as graphs, charts, figures,
and drawings.
Please see the Credits
& References section for a list of our satisfied customers and then let us know if
we can help.
