Teacher's Desk

I did not have a photo of a school teacher's desk when I designed this cover for Jacquie McTaggart, so Ms. McTaggart kindly offered to shoot one for me. I used Photoshop to manipulate her photograph and discard all the background objects that interfered with the text and, together, Ms. McTaggart and I came up with this cover that very accurately and artistically depicts her book.

An Iowa educator in the classroom for 42 years, Jacquie McTaggart exchanged her teacher’s hat for an author’s pen. She uses a keen sense of humor and an abundance of anecdotes to guide readers through an examination of school practices, legislative mandates, and parenting issues. For anyone who is interested in the intricacies of the teaching profession, this book is a “must read.”
