We don't do many websites anymore—we
just don't have the time. We will discuss your project; however, and if your
project interests us (and our prices interest you), we're always willing to
negotiate.
The
website links shown below are examples of web design excellence and, in the very
near future, we will also provide names of exceptional,
reliable, and reasonably priced website designers. The design excellence is
evident in these sites (many are designer sites); however, keep in mind that
your site's content and your target audience must determine your site
design.
Creative,
innovative Flash introductions are really cool and fun to experience, but most
Internet surfers are looking for products, services, and/or information and
often click the "Skip Intro" button to quickly enter the site and
satisfy their immediate needs. Never build a site without a "Skip
Intro" button, and never disable the "Back" button on the
browser. These two options, if not available (in addition to a site that takes
forever to load), will result in angry web surfers who will not return to your
site.
Another
personal tip: Don't put a photograph of yourself on your website. People judge
others first by appearance, and you can lose a lot of business from just a
photo. It's a sad, pathetic statement of humanity, but it's a reality. If you're
too young, potential clients may see you as an amateur without the necessary experience
to produce. If you're too old, they might see you as a health risk. If you
pierce your ears and nose, you're too wild, if you're frumpy, you don't have
enough class. And if you're too attractive, they may see you as irresponsible
and vain. These are not my judgments, but society's labels and, like it or not,
prejudice (even if subconscious) exists and can significantly reduce your
potential client base. Keep your photos and your personal opinions to yourself;
i.e., be brief, be precise, be honest, be fair—that's
the professional image.

for the sounds/music (often annoying), these sites are amazing!

Apologizes, in advance, if any of these links become invalid.
Websites come and go like the seasons, and we may not always remember to
regularly update these links. Thanks and enjoy.
